Abstract

238,304. Vianini, G. May 16, 1924. Centrifugal machines.- Tubular hollow-ware such as tubes, pipes, spars, &c. are formed from a mixture of suitable fibrous material, such as asbestos, and a binding-medium such as cement, the specific gravities of the particles of the constituents being in the order of the average size of the particles. The mixture is distributed through a single nozzle G in a semifluid condition, the nozzle being reciprocated to superpose a number of concentric layers to the desired thickness in the rotating mould C. A reinforcing metal armature or cage may be incorporated in the material. Specifications 25195/10 and 146,400 are referred to.
