Abstract
236,777. Schonholz, G. Oct. 8, 1924. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Flat extended surfaces, surfacing and polishing.-Near the corners of a triangular frame a three shafts b - - d are journaled and carry wheels j - - h for coarse and fine grinding and polishing, the shaft b being driven by, ior example, an electromotor i and belt k and shafts c, d from the shaft b. The water-boxes s, t, v, lined with zinc, are arranged so that a triangle is formed by their inner sides, which triangle has a cover w impermeable to water, while the walls y cover the outside of the frame a. With this arrangement all three wheels may be used at once, the felt disc necessary at the end of the operation being mounted on the polishing disc. In use, the glass sheet is roughly ground on disc f and then passed over disc g for fine grinding, the polishing being done on wheel h which may have a felt disc for repolishing, if necessary.
