Abstract

236,645. Bailey, T. H., and Evans, W. April 9, 1924. Battery lamps.-A portable battery lamp for use in mines comprises a battery chamber and a lamp chamber, a bulb socket 16 secured to a disc 17, a reflector 28 and a protective glass 29, and behind the disc 17 electric connections and contacts 9, 11 and a sliding switch bar 25. The contact strips connect the battery conductors 7<a> which are packed with insulating material 13. In another construction the lamp chamber is mounted on top of the battery chamber, and an additional fixed or pivoted reflector is provided. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 18150/93, 21080/10, 16257/13, and 21115/13.
