Clamping-devices for socket and tang fixings.-In a screwdriver blade c clamped in the slot b of a handle a by sliding a tapered sleeve d over the tapered ends a' whereby they contract on and grip the blade, shoulders c<2> on the blade engage with recesses d<1> in the sleeve whereby pressure on the blade increases the grip. To remove the sleeve a wedge is driven in the slot e. Hollow handles. - A receptacle g<1> for spare blades and for a wedge is formed in the handle.
