Abstract

235,514. Bollmann, H. June 12, 1924, [Convention date]. Addition to 218,910. Fats and fatty oils, purifying.-In removing odorous substances from oils and fats as described in the parent Specification, the oil passes downwards through a column containing chambers 4, 6 filled with packing material, such as Raschig rings, against a current of steam supplied bv a pipe 14. The oil is heated bv being caused to trickle down the inside of tubes 10 passing through steam chests 3, 5, 7. Hoods 15 are suspended above the openings of the tubes 10. Specification 233,964, [Class 32, Distilling &c.], is referred to.
