Abstract
234,892. Bennett, T. W. March 3, 1924. Illuminated stencil and transparency indicators. -A compartmented lamp indicator for roadvehicles is controlled by a three-position main switch and auxiliary switches on the steering- column and on the foot- and hand-brake levers. Operation of the main switch places the stopping and turning transparency signals 3, 4, 5 under the control of the auxiilary switches. The switches on the foot- and hand-brake levers are connected in parallel. The lamps are inserted in holes in a plate 10, and the pins are rotated into slots 12 by which the contacts are held against corresponding contacts on a spring- pressed plate 13. The " stop " lamp may be caused to flicker by intermittent operation of either of the brake switches to give a " pass on " signal.
