Abstract

Optical - projection apparatus for fixed or moving images comprises a concave reflector, an object on the axis of the reflector, means for illuminating the object, means for imparting movement to the object, and a projection screen. Fig. 1 shows a lamp C surrounded by a transparent skirt G which bears images to be projected and depends from a carrier F secured to vanes D rotated by the. heated air currents, the speed of rotation being variable by vertical adjustment of a damper N. the images are projected by a Mangin or other mirror A through an aperture plate H on to a screen. Fig. 2 shows a construction in which an endless band G is carried by rollers F and driven by an electric motor D. The objects may be opaque, a shutter may be provided to render the projected images intermittent, the images may be kinematographic, and the apparatus may be enclosed in a casing having the projection screen mounted on one of its sides.
