Abstract

1,261,889. Lamps. MALHAM Ltd. 10 Feb., 1969 [8 Feb., 1968], No. 6353/68. Heading F4R. [Also in Division G2] A coloured light projector comprises a casing F in which are mounted a light source J, having a reflector H and dispersing lens G, an interfering, refractive or stressed pattern D, a colour changing medium E and a number of lenses A, the lenses being collectively rotatable to vary the projected image. The interfering pattern may be formed from a metal plate having apertures therein and the stressed pattern comprises stressed translucent members together with a polarizing medium. A clear screen C is provided in the casing on which is mounted an electric motor B having a drive shaft K; the lenses, colour media, and pattern may be fixed for rotation with the shaft or be freely mounted thereon. Alternatively the pattern may be fixed to the housing. The lenses may be ground or moulded from one piece of material or may be separate, and may have the same or different focal lengths. The distances of the lenses, patterns and colour media from the light source may be varied.
