Abstract

234,003. Desoutter, C., and Desoutter Bros., Ltd. Dec. 8, 1924. Latches, sliding. A sliding seat may be locked in adjusted position by a spring- pressed bolt 25 which engages holes 26 in a guideway 12, but -. which can be held in retracted position by the pin 29 engaging a slot 37 in the pivoted plate 30. In a modification, the head 43 of a spring- pressed bolt 42 engages recesses in flanges 13 of the guideway 12, and cam surfaces 58 in a pivoted plate 54 engage a fixed pin 53, and hold the bolt 42 in locking position. The throw of the plate 52 and the eccentricity of the cam surfaces 58 are sufficient to ensure satisfactory actuation of the bolt 42 even should the floor or other parts wear or warp.
