Abstract

233,727. Day, W. P. May 10, 1924, [Convention date]. Paving tramways.-Street rails A are secured to plates 10 fixed to sleepers 11 which are embedded in concrete 16, except under the rails, where a softer material is used. The concrete is filled level with the plates 10 and before it is set a space 17 is cleared around the rail base. This space is filled with a dry mix 18 preferably containing asphalt, which is thoroughly tamped. A seal 19 of concrete may be used to hold the rails A and filling 18 in place.
