233,451. Mycock, W. Feb. 16, 1924. Cylindrical journal bearings.- The brass of a swivelling bearing for shafts, cylinders, rollers or the like has spherical seatings in a cap B<1> and in a housing B<2>, the cap and housing being secured either by bolts C, Fig. 2, having a check nut or collar c, or by bolts C<1>, C<2>, Fig. 4. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the brass is in halves A<1>, A<2> and has lubricating grooves a containing graphite. The brass A, Fig. 4, is in one piece and is lubricated by a chain E dipping into an oil well e.
