Abstract

A quilt comprising two independent small quilts joined side by side to form said quilt, wherein the independent small quilts are made of different material and/or of different density.

Description

"A Ouilt" The present invention relates to a quilt, in particular, a quilt for a pair of persons to meet with different warmth requirements.
In the prior art, there are various kinds of quilts, made of different material and different in size.
However, such quilts all fail to meet with the special demand when used together by two persons having different requirement in warmth, in particular if such individual requirement is rather different.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a quilt, comprising two separate and independent smaller quilts joined together, said smaller quilts being different in the filling material used and/or the density of said filling material. The two separate and independent smaller quilts are then sewed together, and put into a common bedding bag made of non-woven fabric or other suitable material, to make an integral quilt for use by a couple having different warmth requirement, whether for different physical condition, or due to personal preference or different environment and/or climate.
According to the present invention, there is provided a quilt, comprising two separate and independent smaller quilts, different in the filling material used and/or the density thereof. Said two separate and independent smaller quilts are further sewed together and put into a common bedding bag to make an integral quilt fit for the above-said purposes.
Preferably, one of the two smaller quilts is made to provide a relatively higher warm-keeping function than the other, each smaller quilt being substantially rectangular in shape and having peripheral tabs with openings therein. Said tabs are made of fabric material and the edge of each opening therein is reinforced by stitching.
More preferably, said quilt is provided with three said tabs at the top side and two at each longer side, where each of the two longer sides and the shorter top side has one such tab in the middle.
The quilt according to the present invention can be made in different overall dimensions, with each of the said independent smaller quilts having a different degree of warm-keeping function, and/or feel, by varying the material used and/or the density thereof, to meet with different individual preferences of a pair, for instance, husband and wife, parent and kid, or sisters or brothers.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to Fig 1 which is an illustration of the quilt according to the present invention.
An embodiment according to the present invention is shown in Fig 1. As per Fig 1, there is provided a quilt, comprising a first independent smaller quilt 1 and a second independent smaller quilt 2, sewed together side by side. Each of said smaller quilts 1 and 2 is made of different material or with same material but different density, so that the two provide different warm-keeping degrees. There are further provided at the top side 4 three tabs 3, each with an opening 31 therein, and two such tabs 3 at each longer side 5, each also with an opening, with one of said tabs in the middle of said top side 4 and longer sides 5. In use, the quilt according to the present invention is put into a quilt bag, whereby said tabs serve to fix said quilt inside said bag.
Although only one embodiment was given above, it is to be understood that the present invention is to cover any possible modifications and/or alterations, as are obvious to any person skilled in the same line.
