Abstract

A quilt divides into portions 2 & 3 and has a means 5 for attaching and detaching. Being able to attach portions of different weights allows each individual the opportunity to choose their own weight (Tog) of quilt without affecting their partner. It also allows each portion to be washed by using a domestic washing machine.

Description

QUILTS THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A QUILT: Quilts are a well-known item of bedding, which can be purchased in various sizes and various weights. Quilts are more commonly used now than sheets and blankets.
Quilts are, however by their very size bulky, and are almost impossible to be washed in a domestic washing machine. More importantly though the quilt in its entirety comes only in the purchased weight.
According to the present invention there is provided a quilt which divides (detaches by a means) into portions so that it may be re-attached to another differently weighted portion of another quilt.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 Shows in perspective a quilt divided into portions.
Figure 2 Illustrates differently weighted portions.
Figure 3 Shows the two differently weighted portions of the quilt, by means of re-attachment.
Referring to Figure 1 the quilt becomes equally split 2 & 3, with Figure 2 showing two differently weighted portions, Figure 3 then shows both portions, by a means 5 re-attached.

Claims (1)

  1. A quilt which divides (detaches by a means) into portions so that it may be re-attached to another differently weighted portion of another quilt of the same.
