Abstract

232,305. Eustace, W. E. Jan. 9, 1924. Feeding - devices for granular and like materials. - Apparatus for delivering and aerating plaster of Paris and like powders comprises a container f mounted on legs h and provided with a grid-like base a on which is pivoted a plate b having openings or slots corresponding to those in the base and adapted to be moved to and fro by means of a handle e so as to cause the powder to be shaken down into a hopper g attached to the base and thereby into a suitable receiver, stops t being provided on the base a so that at either end of the plates movement the openings c in the base are closed to exclude air from the powder in the container. The device is for use in dental work in which a small quantity of plaster of Paris is required to be delivered into a basin &c. in an aerated condition for mixing with water. According to the Provisional Specification, the plate may slide backwards and forwards, or from side to side, instead of rotating.
