Abstract

232,110. Fischbach, W. M. Sept. 18, 1924. Rails and tracks.-A guard for preventing the trains leaving the rails at curves comprises a vertical strip adjustably mounted parallel to the rails on the outside of the curve and above their level. The strip 21 is carried by supports 20 on a strip 17 having threaded studs passing through slots 16 in radial members 14 secured to a base member 2 which clips over the track. The guard is made in sections, tongues 26, 8 being provided on the guard and base 2 to engage mating sockets on the next sections. In a simpler form the guard is mounted directly on brackets with members engaging the sleepers.
