Abstract

231,582. MacGregor, L. D. Jan. 3, 1924. Thermionic amplifiers.-An iron-cored transformer or choking-coil in a low-frequency amplification circuit is provided with an additional winding g for the purpose of applying reaction thereto. One terminal of this winding, on a tapping from the winding, is connected to the anode p of the valve, and the other terminal is conected to the cathode s through the high-voltage battery x and output terminals o, which may be connected to a telephone or other receiving instrument, or to one primary winding of an intervalve transformer, if further amplification is required. Specification 252/14 is referred to.
