Dash-pots.-A shock-absorber for checking the rebound of vehicle springs comprises an arm 2 connected to one of the relatively-movable vehicle parts and integral with a cylindrical casing 1, adapted to contain liquid of an oily nature, a vane 7 provided with a non-return valve 8 and fixed on a spindle oscillatably in the casing and connected by an arm 9 to the other vehicle part, and a partition 3 fixed in the casing and having a port 3<1> adjustable from outside the casing by a cock 4 to control the restricted flow of the liquid through the port during the rebound movement.
