Abstract

A carrying handle, eg for carrier bags, has an elongate generally U-section channel portion to receive the bag handles, and a downwardly directed flange at each end to prevent turning of the handle in the hand of a user. <IMAGE>

Description

THE BAG CARRIER FOR THE CARRIER BAG This invention relates to a handle.
Carrier bags made of plastic with hand holes pre cut in the top are handed out by shops in their million each year. When faced with a multitude of heavy bags while shopping, the plastic in the palm of the hand stretches, narrows and cuts into the hands of the shopper.
This invention is a simple handle with a slot cut in the top into which plastic carrier bag handles can be placed. The handle has a small flange at each end to help prevent it twisting in the shoppers grip and maintaining bag stability.
When loaded shopping bags are placed on the ground separately they splay apart and can loose their contents. With the handles of plastic bags placed inside the "Bag Carrier" this is minimised and the Bag Carrier assists the Shopper to gather the shopping quickly.

Claims (2)

1. A handle with a slot cut in the top into which plastic carrier bag handles can be placed.
2. The handle as claimed in Claim 1 designed to fit comfortably in the palm of a hand with a small flange at each end to help prevent the handle twisting in the shoppers grip and maintaining bag stability.
