Abstract

228,696. Davis, R. H. Jan. 18, 1924. Wearing-apparel for poisonous atmospheres.-An air or gas-tight suit for working in poisonous atmospheres comprises an upper portion a having a helmet combined with it and a lower pantaloon portion b connected hermetically to the upper portion. An adjustable face mask a<1> and respirator b or the like are combined with the helmet. Gloves are also attached by a gas-tight joint to the cuff portions e and an urinating apparatus with a non-return valve f<1> and a draining valve g is also provided. A metal ring c<1> on one portion of the garment is engaged by an elastic or semielastic ring d on the other portion, a similar arrangement serving for the glove connection.
