Abstract

227,993. Driver, H. A. Jan. 5, 1924. Mats for use on footboards of motor-cars are provided with transverse grooves or recesses 8, 9 each for the reception of a screw clamp 10, vertical walls being formed on both sides of each recess. The mat may be made with a woven base and a tufted face, the tufts being interrupted by the grooves for the clamps, or it may be made of indiarubber, vulcanized fibre, &c. The under side of the part 10 of the clamp is serrated by zigzag grooves. Specification 182,015 is referred to.
