Abstract

Hinges. - A detachable hinge connection for use with stands or supports for displaying photographs and pictures and for fire screens, blackboards, step ladders and other purposes comprises a sheet metal part A with grooves a<4> in which are slidablv mounted the ends of a wire E that forms the hinge connection of a plate B secured to the strut H, the member F being held in an adjusted position by a wire link D. This link member is hinged at a' to the plate A and at b<1> to the plate B. The member A is arranged to swivel on the frame F by a pin connection a'. In a modification, the member A has a central boss in which the ends of the wire E are arranged to slide.
