Abstract

226,485. Brun, A. M. Dec. 17, 1923, [Convention date]. Paper and like bags.-An envelope is formed from a bag of paper or other r material which is constructed by folding and gumming the lower part b, Fig. 1, of a flattened sleeve, leaving the end a open. The corners at the open end are cut off along the lines c-d. c<1>-d<1>, or may be rounded, forming flaps e, f, Fig. 4, on the two faces of the envelope. One flap. for example f, is either cut off as shown in Fig. 6, or folded inwardly within the envelope, leaving the flap e as a closure flap, which may be gummed or provided with metallic fasteners or other closing means. An expansible bag of the bellows type may be used instead of a flat bag.
