Abstract
226,177. Sulzer FrÞres Soc. Anon. Dec. 15, 1923, [Convention date]. Petrol-electric and other systems comprising prime movers with dynamos and electric motors. - The electric generator d is supported by the main frame c between two bogies a or between two adjacent axles and is driven by two internal combustion engines e arranged at either end thereof, so that it is at the minimum possible height above the rail level the generator being let into the main frame. In a modification the shaft of the generator is supported by the ends of the crank shaft of the engines e without bearings of its own. In a further modification, the main frame is supported upon four main axles with pony trucks at the ends, the generator being disposed between the two middle axles.
