Abstract

An anti-theft pedal lock comprises two jaws hinged at one end and lockable at the other. The lock is a simple key type which allows a single tooth to be secured in the second jaw. The pedal lock should be placed in situ when the vehicle is parked and is easily removed by the owner upon their return. <IMAGE>

Description

PEDAL LOCK Technical Field This invention relates to a pedal locking device.
Background This device is intended as a deterrent to the car thief or 'joy rider'. The idea being to render the vehicle immobile by preventing the car being put into gear by preventing the clutch from being pressed fully to the floor of the car by it's presence and also by being locked to the brake pedal.
Essential Technical Features The invention should be made out of metal when once in place and locked the pedal lock would be extremely difficult to remove, due, to the situation of the brake and clutch pedals.
Example Page (1) shows the side view of the pedal lock closed.
Page (2) shows the side view of the pedal lock opened.
Page (3) shows the pedal lock open and gapped locking tooth.

Claims (4)

Claims
1.
A pedal lock comprising of two metal jaws on a hinge pin to enable opening and closing.
2.
A pedal lock as claimed in claim (1) wherein the hinged jaws may be locked when closed.
3.
A pedal lock as claimed in claim (1) and (2) wherein the jaws may be locked by means of the aperture in the steel tooth.
4.
A pedal lock as claimed in claims (1), (2) and (3) wherein once situated on the clutch and brake pedals and locked, the car cannot be put into gear.
