Abstract

An engine (E) of the multi-cylinder internal-combustion kind comprises a plurality of exhausts and at least two turbochargers (T1, T2), each of the turbochargers being constantly connected to a respective one or more of the exhausts, possibly via exhaust manifolds (M1, M2) respectively connected to cylinders (1, 4; 2, 3) of the engine (E), and being additionally selectively connectible by one or more selectible turbocharger connections (V), possibly in the form of a control valve having a valve head (14) movable in response to turbocharger boost pressure applied to a diaphragm (16), to the exhaust or exhausts constantly connected to at least one of the other turbochargers (T2, T1).
