Abstract

224,425. Lee, H. W., and Kapella, Ltd. Feb. 7, 1924. Lenses.- Photographic objectives, more particularly of the type consisting of a dispersive element placed between two collective systems, consist of four simple components, of which one is dispersive of higher refractive index than any of the collective components, and is placed between a collective, component in front of it, and a pair of simple components separated by an air space not greater than 1 per cent of the focal length of the objective. The dispersive component is placed within 10 per cent of the focal length of the central position, and none of the collective components have a refractive index of less than 1.60. Numerical data are given in the Specification. Specification 155,640 is referred to.
