Abstract
224,345. Ansell, A. Sept. 29. 1923. Addition to 215,447. Ash-trays.-The ash-tray &c. supports of the parent Specification have their rings made in two parts A, B between which a rubber ring C is secured to provide an inner periphery of rubber to grip the articles supported. In a modification, the inner peripheries of the ring support's are grooved and rubber nipples or buffers a<1> inserted therein. When a clamp G is provided, the inner surfaces d are lined with wood, felt, &c., and the clamp screw m, which is hollow, is provided with a projecting ring l of rubber &c. at its end. The spindles may comprise a central solid rod upon which the ring supports, washers, and tubular distance-pieces are secured. The ring supports may comprise two detachable parts. the ring part D having split pins E engaging sockets in the remaining part F. The base, when such is provided, may be furnished with headed pins engaging a slotted plate or plates attached to the surface to which the support is to be secured.
