Abstract

376,301. Turntables for furniture. CHAPMAN, A. W., 115, Howards Lane, Putney, London. April 2, 1931, No. 10121. [Classes 52 (i), 52 (ii), and 52 (v).] A turntable has a base ring 1 with a peripheral channel which receives a rubber ring 2 and at the same provides an annular track for, and secures against detachment a superimposed part 5 supporting or forming part of the article to be rotated. In a modification antifriction balls may be introduced between the base ring and the superimposed member, and the latter may be in the form of a ring or a disc 16 with struck-out tongues 18, Fig. 8, to engage the base ring flange 4.
