Gas-meters. - The driving spindle of the registering mechanism of a wet gas-meter and the water-elevating device journaled on the exterior of the bearing supporting the spindle are connected through a rotation-transmitting member or members arranged within the meter so that only one spindle passes through the meter wall instead of two as in the meter described in the parent Specification. The rotation-transmitting members may comprise speed-reduction gearing. In the meter shown the measuring drum shaft 2 drives through a gear train 3, 4, 16 a wheel 17 which carries the waterelevating device 6 and operates through a projection 19 and arm 18 the driving spindle 5 of the registering mechanism.
