Contents, delivering and facilitating access to. -A dispenser for paper napkins, towels, &c. comprises a container 31, Fig. 1, recessed at 39, in which a pile of napkins &c. is placed, each napkin being folded along the lines shown in Fig. 2, first concertina fashion on the lines 10-11, ... 16-17 and then along tho line 18, leaving portions 19, 20, 27, 28 non-coextensive with the middle portions so that the napkin can be easily grasped. The pile is held down and the top napkin is held so as to be unfolded in the act of removal by means either of a removable rectangular frame 41, Fig. 1, or by means of a rod 48, Fig. 8, held by balls 50 in slots 47 in such a way that the rod can be turned up out of the way into a recess 52, or by means of a similar rod shaped as shown in Fig. 11.
