Abstract

Vulcanizing under direct gas pressure.-Rubber articles are vulcanized by suspending them in a heated chamber capable of being sealed, the heat being conveyed to them by sulphuretted hydrogen gas under pressure. The gas may be generated by placing an open vessel containing sulphuric acid and iron sulphide in the chamber before sealing.
