Abstract
221,875. Smythe, E. H., and Electrical Improvements, Ltd. June 21, 1923. Guards for conductors.-A guard 11 for underrunning conductor rails 10 is formed in a single piece, preferably of mouldable material, troughshaped and provided with an abutment 14 engaging beneath an abutment 13 on the rail, and at the abutment 14 its inner width is substantially the same as the width of the rail. The guard is placed in position by placing the abutments 13, 14 together and then swinging it over on to the rail. The guard may extend at 15 below the edge 16 of the rail. The ends of adjacent guard sections may be connected by a lap joint. Specifications 2516/07, 7591/12, 13801/12 and 152,230 are referred to.
