Conductors for electricity.-A tramway or electric railway rail comprises two parts A, one part resting on the other, being secured together by bolts and providing a space B between them for an electrically conducting rod, wire, or strip. At intervals, the rails are secured by a holder D to which the tie-bar is secured by means of a pin entering the hole E. The joints in the rail break gap. The abutting faces of the rails may be straight, corrugated, or interlocked.
