Abstract

Artificial silk, artificial straw, &c. of high lustre is obtained from an unripened viscose prepared from an unripened soda-cellulose by employing a coagulating-bath of mineral acid, without the addition of a salt, maintained at a temperature of about 10-15 DEG C., and a spinning length of 1-2 metres.
