Abstract

A disposable mouth to mouth resuscitator has inbuilt air inflation tube 1 and inbuilt air seals 4 and 3. The resuscitator can be used as a normal mouth to mouth resuscitator where contact with the patients mouth is to be avoided. <IMAGE>

Description

DISPOSABLE MOUTH TO MOUTH RESUSCITATOR TECHNICAL FIELD This invention relates to a disposable mouth to mouth resuscitator.
BACKGROUND Normal resuscitation devices comprises of tubes which are placed down the patients throat and then air and oxygen is passed down the tubes into the patients lungs by squeezing and inflating a bladder type device or by forced compressed pressure. However such devices are not available for general public use.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL FEATURES According to the present invention there is a face mask which as built in air seals and an inflation tube which passed through the mask and is moulded in a one piece unit. And is totally disposable after use.
EXAMPLE A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Fig. 1 shows resuscitator in perspective Fig. 2 shows an underneath view of the resuscitator including the inflation tube and sealing rings Fig. 3 shows resuscitor from front view Fig. 4 shows resuscitator in place on patient.
Referring to the drawing the resuscitator comprises of a one piece face mask 2 as in Fig 1 which as a inflation tube 1 as in Fig 1 passing through the body of the mask as in Fig 3 there are two sealing rings 3 and 4 as in Fig 2 built into the mask.
In order to use this resuscitator the person who is to attempt to revive the patient first places the patient in the normal mouth to mouth resuscitation position. He or she then places the mask Fig 1 over the patients mouth with the inflation tube 1 as in Fig 4 between the patients teeth and the sealing ring 4 as in Fig 2 around the patients lips as in Fig 4. He or she then presses downward in direction of arrows 5 and 6 as in Fig 3 down both sides of the patients cheeks.
He or she then proceeds to give the patient mouth to mouth resuscitation by blowing down the inflation tube 1 as in Fig 4.

Claims (1)

A dissposable mouth to mouth resuscitator as claimed in Claim 1 wherin there is an air inflation tube which passes thru the mask.
A dissposable mouth to mouth resuscitator as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 wherin there is a sealing ring around the outside of the mask on the underneath.
A dissposable mouth to mouth resuscitator as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 wherin there is an air sealing ring on the underneath of the mask central to the air inflation tube as in Claim 2 and the outside sealing ring in Claim 3.
A dissposable mouth to mouth resuscitator substantially as described herein with referance to figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawings.
