Abstract
219,092. Super-Razors (England), Ltd., and Watt, J. A. D. April 19, 1923. Razors, safety. A pivotally mounted safety razor blade is locked in position relatively to the guard by engaging one end of the blade or of the blade sheath or backing with or under a section of the blade carrier, the pivotally mounted parts being traversed across the guard for this purpose. In the form shown, the blade sheath or backing 8 supported on pivots 9, 10 is chamfered or inclined at one end 8<a> to engage the correspondingly undercut face 5<a> of the blade carrier 5, being traversed into engagement therewith by rotating the screw pivot 10 which is provided with an elliptical head 10<a> and a reduced end forming a shoulder 10<b>. The blade carrier 5 is adjusted in relation to the guard 4 by a mill headed screw 6.
