Abstract

Feeding-appliances for animals.-Food is delivered in predetermined quantities from a hopper a by the action of the animal which must leave the feeder before a second delivery of food can be obtained. An adjustable false bottom b pivoted at g co-operates with an adjustable, plate j so that a quantity of food gravitates below the plate and rests upon the end c of the bottom b. When the lid i closes a pivoted or sliding member h strikes the bottom b and causes the food thereon to fall on to a platform carried by the member h or directly into the trough f. The animal lifts the lid i, causing the food on the platform h to fall into the trough.
