Abstract

Submarine vessels.-Two cylindrical tanks C are arranged symmetrically on the pressure-resisting hull A and are designed to receive and store aeroplanes which are introduced with their wings folded against the body. A longitudinal platform D terminating in a hinged extension E serves as a track for the landing or starting of the aeroplanes which are handled by cranes F, if necessary. The tanks are closed by end covers c<1> and are filled with compressed air at considerable depths of submergence.
