Abstract

218,467. Kirkhouse, J. June 14, 1923. Straps and bands.-In body harness, for lifesaving and the like purposes, of the kind in which loop members, adapted to be suspended from a common support. are passed over the body above and below the thigh joints, the harness is formed of two running loop members a, b of which the end of the body member a is threaded through an eye c formed in the leg member b while the end of the body member a is adapted to be detachably fastened to a life-line or the like f. The leg member b is preferably provided with twin loops b<1>, b<2> one for each leg in the case, of a male, while in the case of a female both loops are made to pass over both legs.
