Abstract
217,487. Mulder, J., and Endert, D. C. Oct. 10, 1923. Aspirating-apparatus, ejector.-In steam, gas or vapour-operated gas or air ejectors, means are provided for centring the full-bore nozzle for the induced fluid, with respect to the annular nozzle, through which the inducing fluid is admitted. The means comprise straight or helical ribs 7 formed on the inner or outer surface of the annular or full-bore nozzles respectively. The forward end of the steam nozzle, Figs. 4 and 5, may be formed with a series of longitudinal grooves 22 of uniform width and a decreasing depth from front to back, the inner nozzle having a plane surface.
