Abstract

217,471. Turner, S. Aug. 24, 1923. Monolithic flooring.-Hard courts for tennis, promenades, and the like are made of a non- cementitious material consisting of a gritty substance, such as either ground brick or fine ash, or a mixture of both, and asbestos fibre. Such floors are formed in layer form, the proportion of asbestos in the mixture being greatest in the lowest layer and diminishing in each superposed layer so that the upper surface contains little or no asbestos.
