Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1) [Also in Group XXIII] A wood floor consists of strips of hard wood 10 overlying and bonded to strips of thicker wood 11 (preferably soft wood) in such a manner that the end and side joints of the bottom layer do not coincide with those of the top layer. The thicker wood may be tongued and grooved and may be drilled at 14 for secret nailing.
