Abstract
217,153. Barnes, F. G. Aug. 9, 1923. Surface treatment with liquid materials.-The transverse spray pipe J of a tar spraying machine is adjustable about a central longitudinal pivot X in order to prevent the tar flowing to the lower end of the pipe on cambered road surfaces. The adjustment is effected by a hand-lever connected to a clip j<2> on the pipe. The width of discharge is varied in known manner by a movable plunger L the operating rod of which passes through a gland l<1> which is readily removable with the plunger. Specification 217,090 is referred to.
