Abstract

216,289. Cubitt, A. S. April 17, 1923. Binding-posts and terminals; plug connectors.- To connect a number of wires such as the pin terminals f of telephone leads for a wireless receiver to a single terminal h a member having a multiplicity of springs and corresponding guide holes is used. The coupling element is preferably made from a single piece of sheet metal and comprises a flat portion adapted to be secured upon a terminal of usual type, and a U-shaped portion a enclosing the springs band having guide holes e formed in its sides. The metal blank is divided to form the separate springs and each is preferably folded as shown to increase the resilience. The blank may be set up around the perforation for the terminal screw as at c. Alternative constructions of the spring element are described.
