Vapour burners; vaporizing-apparatus.-Liquid fuel and steam or air are supplied to the gasefying chamber or coil of a hydrocarbon burner througl valve-controlled pipes r, m and a mixing chamber k containing fuel nozzles t and steam or air nozzles p, the steam or air nozzles being in preponderance and one, not complementary to a fue nozzle, being separately controlled by means o: a valve q. The fuel mixture passes through a gasefying chamber formed between the outer casing e and a spiral rib c on a barrel d and the gas produced is in part conducted through a pipe v to a burner nozzle y heating the barrel d and the boiler flue f, the surplus passing through a valve w to other burners or to a storage reservoir. A revoluble shutter j on a cowl g regulates the air admission to the barrel d. It is stated that the fuel and steam or air supplies may be in the proportion of one pound of fuel to twelve of steam or air.
