Tension and guiding arrangements.-In belt gearing, one pulley 2, and preferably the electromotor by which it is driven, swings about a pivot 7, and the angle of wrapping of the belt 3 is increased by the use of a jockey pulley 4. The pulley 4 may be carried on a fixed axis which may be concentric with the pivot 7 or may be carried adjustably for tensioning in an arm 9 adjustably secured either on the pivot 7, as shown, or on the boss of the motor casing.
