Abstract

Sewing-machines; driving.-An electric motor is mounted upon an inclined pivot 21, and can be moved from a position in which its friction pulley 14 engages the machine wheel 13 into an inoperative position under the machine arm. A spring 24 is arranged so as to hold the motor in either extreme position. The pivot may be provided by means of a bracket 18 secured by a screw to the frame or by an arm secured by a strap embracing the upright portion of the machine arm.
