Stationary-mould machines; moulds. -A hand-operated machine for moulding butter &c. comprises a frame 1 carrying an open-topped mould 5 and supporting guide rods 17, on which slide crossheads 19, 14 between which are interposed springs 35, the crosshead 19 carrying the presser 29 and being operable by a lever 23 and link 21, whilst the cross-head 14 supports the mould bottom 6 through rods 15, 7 and a cross-bar 12. The print plate 29 is interchangeably supported in a bracket 25 pivotally supported by the crosshead 19 so that it can be swung aside for filling and discharge of the mould, and is locked in alignment with the mould of a spring pin engaging behind one of the guides 17. A bar 32 pivoted to the crosshead 19 is furnished with notches adapted to engage the crosshead 14 under the influence of springs 33, 36, to raise the mould bottom 6 for discharge, and is disconnected by a lever 37. Fig. 4 shows a modification, in which the bracket 25 swings vertically under the control of a link 41 connected to the lever 23 and in which the bar 32 is disconnected by a cam stop 45. To regulate the quantity of butter &c., the lever 23 is furnished with a tail 47 to engage an adjustable stop 49 associated with a pointer 50 and scale 51, and the mould is furnished with an aperture 52 for escape of excess material.
