Rotary-mould-table machines.-A machine for moulding dough &c. has moulds C' - - C', Fig. 5, open for their whole length along the periphery of a continuously rotating carrier B, Fig. 1, so as to be filled when passing under the feed-hopper A with material which is alternately compressed and discharged by pistons D' - D<3> opposite pairs of which are connected by levers F<1>, F<2>, guided by pins L moving in slots K and supported by the sphere T, which may be axially adjusted in the carrier B by the spindle H. The carrier is rotated by the shaft M, Fig. 2, which also actuates the pistons by oscillating about a fixed pivot, the arm T having at one end a member U, the curved surface of which presses against rollers on the pistons. A reciprocating movement is also given to the arm T by mounting it on slots x. The weight of the material in the moulds is determined by the pressure of the plate I, Fig. 5, which is adapted to allow surplus material to return to the hopper and is reciprocated by means of levers 3, 5, and rods 4 connected to the crank disc S<1> on the shaft M. Excess pressure is avoided by connecting the lever 5 to a rod 4 by a slotted guide and balancing the pressure on the plate I by means of an adjustable weight 12. In an alternative arrangement the material is also fed to the moulds by means of a worm. The pistons may also be actuated by rollers mounted on the circumference of a rotating disc.
