Abstract

214,291. Potter, J. C. Dec. 12, 1922. Rollers and roller heads.-The top rolls 12 in a spinning or twisting machine rollerhead comprise a metal sleeve 18 provided with a leather cover 17, a bush 19 of wood impregnated with lubricating material, and an arbor 14 upon which the sleeve 18 and bush 19 rotate. The arbor 14 is provided with a bearing 15 for the support of the weighting-lever and integral collars 16 which space the rolls correctly on the arbor, and it has flattened ends whereby it is fixed in position in the machine.
